Areas of Study

  • Fashion Sportswear Design

  • Product Development

  • Pattern Cutting

  • Garment Construction

  • Textile Research

  • Sustainable Design

  • Technical Development

During my studies at London College of Fashion, I developed a research-led approach to fashion product development, combining creative exploration with technical problem-solving.

The projects presented throughout this section document my design process from initial research through to final outcomes, demonstrating how ideas evolve into commercially and technically considered products.

Each project explores different aspects of fashion sportswear, including garment construction, pattern cutting, material experimentation, sustainability, and product development. Together, they reflect my ability to research, develop, prototype, test, and refine concepts through an iterative design process.

YEAR 2 // FOOTBALL COLLAB PROJECT

BELLERIN X MONCLER

University: London College of Fashion

Module: Fashion Sportswear

Year:Year 2

Brief: Develop a collaborative sportswear collection between Moncler and Héctor Bellerín

Outcome: Performance training collection inspired by sustainability and alpine heritage

Football Collaboration Project

This second-year university project challenged students to develop a collaborative collection between Moncler and professional footballer Héctor Bellerín. The brief focused on identifying shared values between two distinct identities and translating them into a cohesive sportswear concept.

My research centred on Héctor Bellerín's commitment to environmental sustainability, particularly his tree-planting initiatives and advocacy for responsible design. I combined this with Moncler's heritage of alpine performance wear, drawing inspiration from mountain landscapes, snow-covered peaks, and the brand's distinctive colour philosophy.

The outcome was a contemporary football training collection that merged technical sportswear with Moncler's premium outdoor aesthetic. Throughout the project I explored colour, silhouette, functionality, and material selection to create garments that reflected both performance requirements and environmental awareness.

This project strengthened my ability to develop research-led concepts, communicate a design narrative, and translate brand values into commercially relevant product solutions.

YEAR 3 // FINAL PROJECT

BASKETBALL LINEAGE

Design Philosophy

This project became the foundation of my approach to design today. It introduced themes of heritage, craftsmanship, storytelling, and community that continue to influence my work through ANWOBO, where I explore how traditional culture and contemporary product development can exist together.

Heritage Through the Path of the Game

My final-year collection explored the relationship between cultural heritage and basketball, using the sport as a visual language to communicate identity, community, and belonging.

The concept followed the journey of an athlete progressing through the different stages of the game—from school and college basketball to the professional level—while drawing parallels between the idea of a team and the traditions of tribal communities.

Research focused on the symbolism found within both sport and culture. Kente cloth was explored as a representation of heritage, craftsmanship, and storytelling, while bandanas and patchwork techniques referenced unity, individuality, and the shared experiences that connect players both on and off the court.

Vintage basketball apparel, varsity uniforms, and archival sportswear informed the collection's silhouettes and construction. Inspiration gathered through research, material experimentation, and second-hand sourcing was combined with contemporary product development methods to create garments that celebrated both sporting heritage and cultural identity.

The collection demonstrates my approach to research-led product development, where storytelling, material exploration, and technical design come together to create products with meaning beyond their function.
