Embroidery Embroidery Development
Research, Development & Production
This project explores embroidery as both a creative and technical discipline within fashion product development. Through experimentation with stitch techniques, placement, materials, and production methods, I developed embroidered outcomes that enhanced both garment aesthetics and product identity.
The development process involved translating creative concepts into production-ready embroidery designs through research, sampling, digitisation, and technical refinement.
Working across a variety of embroidery techniques enabled me to explore the relationship between craftsmanship, materiality, and garment construction while ensuring that designs remained commercially viable and suitable for production.
This work strengthened my understanding of embellishment development, technical execution, and the integration of decorative techniques within contemporary apparel design.
Where Ideas Take Shape
Embroidery has become an essential part of my creative and product development process, allowing me to explore texture, detail, and storytelling through garment design.
Working with a Tajima industrial embroidery machine has provided the opportunity to translate concepts into highly refined embroidered outcomes while developing a strong understanding of digitisation, stitch construction, sampling, and production processes.
From initial artwork through to final execution, each design undergoes extensive development and refinement to ensure both aesthetic quality and technical performance.
